Paws of Combat Windows, Mac, Linux game

The game is a fighter like all the other fighters like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Not like Bloody Roar where the characters were human with animal transformations. These characters are Anthropomorphic from start to finish with no transforming in to humans or feral animals. No god moves or one hit kill moves.

The game is currently in development and is being actively worked on. (When I have a day off.) Unique voices, characters, moves, and animations all pepper the game. I am currently developing the game so that it will work on lower end computers as well as higher end computers to make the playing field level for everyone.

The idea for the game came from my looking for a game like this and not being able to find one. (At least one that had been finished. There are plenty that are in development, but I believe the chances of their release is slim to none.) I have been planning on the game to be released in the Summer of 2017 but have been working on it for quite a few years as a concept and only this year as an actual game.

The game's story is different depending on which character you pick. Each character has a unique story and reason for being in the game. I plan to start a Kickstarter for this game when it gets to the Alpha stage where I can get bug testers to try it out and let me know what works for them and what may not work. (As well as letting me know if they had fun with it or not.)

I have been planning to release this game for free or for pennies. Not because I devalue my work, but because for me it is more about wanting people to play and enjoy what I have created more so than the money. Although, if I find I cannot release it for free I will set the price as low as possible.

The game as it stands now has 3 characters in it, and more coming each day. The Kickstarter will enable me to see if this game is wanted and also be able to figure out if I can work on it full time rather than as a hobby. (If I can get enough backers than I will not have to work at design work and instead be able to focus on working on the game exclusively. Which means I may be able to get it out as anticipated in the Summer of 2017!) The Kickstarter will also let people get their characters in the game as fighters or background characters.

Now, for the fun stuff. The specs. Right now, I can run the game on a windows laptop with only 2 gigs of memory. Which I've also tested with my Linux installation and it runs on that as well. I do not have a Macintosh so I am unable to test that at this time.

Background about me: I have always wanted to make games. RPGs, fighters, puzzles, and platformers I decided that a fighting game is much easier to keep organized than a rolling expansive RPG. Although, I could be wrong. If this goes well I will make more games and hopefully keep people entertained for years to come.
