OverLight is an addictive game with an unique concept using glass blocks and laser beams - you break the right blocks, lasers get redirected and intersect, overheat and explode the blocks for which you receive points. You can even chain the explosions into combos, but you must think fast, the clock is ticking! Your goal is old classic: Get as many points as possible. The game also contains various other features to enhance the gameplay and make it more rich and varied - special blocks, power-ups, power-downs (nasty pests!) and variety of levels in several game modes.

Hello there, The game is currently in alpha stage, with only the basic gameplay and plain blocks. However to make the gameplay much more rich and diverse, I'm currently working in implementation of various special blocks and power ups in the game. And this an opportunity for you, the players, to come with your own suggestions! I can't guarantee that every idea will be implemented, but I'll put there as many as possible (and sensible)! I'm especially looking for ideas for special types of blocks and then power-ups that can be contained within the blocks and collected for later use (or immediatelly activated), but even if you have any other suggestion, don't hesitate to share it. Also, I'm also interested in negative effects, which will make the gameplay more challenging and difficult. Here's the list of features already planned: Special block types
Power ups (can be collected from blocks and used later when needed) - effects are time limited
Thank you for reading this and I'm looking forward to yous suggestions and feedback! :-) Edited by: Frooxius |

When I got the unbreakable block bug I actually started thinking about this. Too bad you already got everything I thought of in terms of blocks. |

how about unbreakable mirror blocks that bounce the beam back on itself causing an overload? The can be manoeuvred off the bottom of the screen by deleting blocks. And another idea for you, prism blocks that change the colour of the beam coming out to the opposite colour so it can't blow up blocks when it intersects with the other beam. While it's the opposite colour any blocks it touches with itself in it's original colour will explode. That would make it a bonus & a problem at the same time. |
