OverLight is an addictive game with an unique concept using glass blocks and laser beams - you break the right blocks, lasers get redirected and intersect, overheat and explode the blocks for which you receive points. You can even chain the explosions into combos, but you must think fast, the clock is ticking! Your goal is old classic: Get as many points as possible. The game also contains various other features to enhance the gameplay and make it more rich and varied - special blocks, power-ups, power-downs (nasty pests!) and variety of levels in several game modes.

Note I am using 1024x768 windowed on Windows 7 64-bit for this.

  • In Settings, the Music +% button was shifted about half it's height downward from where the graphic was.
  • Unbreakable blocks issue.
  • Some of the borders of the individual glass boxes that compose the blocks don't seem to be considered part of the block. By that, I mean if I put my cursor between the middle two boxes of the | block, it will deselect the block and clicking will not destroy it.
  • The crosshairs glow on button release instead of press. My thought process is that it should occur on press instead, as that is when blocks are broken and it provides a form of feedback to the player.
  • "For every block you destroy, you lose the points you've earned [...]" -- the wording sounds like you lose all of the points, which is obviously untrue and doesn't make sense. I'd reword this to "lose some of the points you've earned" at the very least to make it more clear.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll fix these in the next update. The crosshair glow on release is caused by the way game behaves on touchscreen devices, where the blocks are destroyed on touch release (so you can aim precisely if you need to), I'll fix it too to make it consistent with the platform.

Additionally, I'll be still improving the tutorial, to make it a bit more explanatory, including that part about loosing points.

Thanks again, I appreciate it ^^
