OreSome is a 2D strategy game about ore -- exploring space for it, fighting aliens for it, blowing up planets with it. Build a network of frames and bots to defeat your enemies -- or just throw a sun at them. In a dying, decrepit universe full of foes, build up your forces and mine your way to the top of the food chain to explore further and further out into the void. By the time you're ready, you'll be powering light speed jump drives with stars, building Death Star style super weapons with black holes and in charge of the largest scale mining operation ever known to man -- all working for one of humanity's least scrupulous corporations -- and there's a lot of competition.

I'm building the player created way-points system now, and was wondering had any requests for features or ideas for what they might like. At the moment I'm going for a simple system, with only four or so for the player to use. Would this be enough for everyone, or would you all need more?

Any thoughts at all, post below.

i cant really say for sure until i manage to play to a point where i cannot remember where my stuff is xD. Intense lags as soon as a few ai show up tend to mess it up a lot heh.
4 sound like enough to start with yes.

So, can you name the waypoints, or attach them to a moving object perhaps?

Oh and what happens if we place a waypoint in another dimension, i.e. behind a wormhole? Will it show the wormhole as a waypoint then?

In a wormhole will show as you describe. At the moment, naming isn't possible, but I may well put that in. Attaching to objects would be cool, but probably unlikely - it's wouldn't be very easy to build, and I'd rather improve game efficiency and put more missions in for the moment.

Those lags are one of the next things that needs to be attacked.

It says waypoints are in the new versions, i'm currently on v0.21. However it is unclear on how to use the waypoints... could you enlighten me?

If you go into the world map menu (default key M), the controls for it are there. Click the coloured arrows to turn waypoints on and off, click the white pins to set one at your current location.
