I was hoping the background was WIP, and more detail would be added later on. For example, more details on the blue part of the background, and since the city is in shambles, so I would have some smoke columns from fires.
Possibly - the team only has one artist (myself) so I really have to prioritize. There's still quite a bit of graphical work on my plate, so smaller details like that kind of work themselves down to the bottom of my to-do list.
The screenshot doesn't quite do that section justice - the window behind the player has a bunch of parallax-scrolling layers and it looks pretty cool when the view moves past it, and you really only see the solid colored area when you're rather high up. I may work on that in the future, but like I said, you really only see bits and pieces of it most of the time, so it's really not a high priority ATM.

Is that Forerunner-like laser in the middle deadly? Does it turn on/off from time to time? Either way, I like it ;D
