Here it is, the second major update for Occupy Mars, containing a bunch of new exciting features and mechanics - the Nuclear Update! โข๏ธ
This ๐ devlog is a summary of all our work on the Nuclear Update starting from the first publicly available testing versions of the update up to the latest, 0.154.4, which entered the default Steam branch on February 15. ๐๐ป
At this point we would like to โจ thank our community - we wouldn't have gotten this far in the development of the game if it weren't for your commitment. ๐๐ All suggestions, bug reports, support and even criticism, are of great importance and value to us. Creating Occupy Mars for you is a great pleasure. ๐ค
๐ฅ Without any more delay, we introduce you to the array of new features that await you in the Nuclear Update! ๐ฅ
To sum up, with the Nuclear Update you're getting:
โ๏ธ Automated miners
โ๏ธ Uranium centrifuges
โ๏ธ Kilopower reactor
โ๏ธ Hacking antennas
โ๏ธ Random events: supply drops, probes and special meteorites fall and sandstorms

We decided to make the first versions of Nuclear Update available to the public only on test branches - and it proved to be the correct move, as it was not devoid of surprises. ๐ถ
The most serious ones were ๐ ๏ธ fixed, hopefully for good, and some of the new mechanics, such as sandstorms, needed to be corrected and rebalanced. ๐ ๐ฉน However, we are still struggling with supply drops falling underground. We believed that this bug had already been resolved, however, you continue to ๐ข report to us that this keeps happening sometimes.
๐ก What we're up to now? ๐ก
Well, we continue to refine the Nuclear Update, that's for sure! Subsequently, our focus will turn to addressing the next most requested alteration – improving game animations and overall responsiveness. ๐ง๐ฎ
What's more, work on the co-op goes full steam ahead. First tests have already taken place and we're not gonna lie - it was fun! ๐งจ
We're also preparing to launch another major update, expect it to appear sometime in the spring/summer.
Furthermore, there are several content updates in development, with hints provided in the graphic below.
