Hello guys and girls!

Sunday is here yet again, and we continue the development of Obitus.
In this post we focus on the survival side of the game.

As mentioned before this is not a regular survival game and resources are scares and the capacity to carry items is small wich makes it much harder to survive.

Players need to stay alive by eating and drinking, keep warm and not get killed by other players.

Current inventories are only 8 slots and will probably stay that way during the development. There is also NO storages available and wont be able to be crafted either.

Besides the drop shop. players will be able to craft both weapons and make food from resources found in the zone.

Most food resources will just barely keep you alive at least long enough to craft a campfire to cook a better meal or find the next quick snack.

Current foods that can be found is berries, insects and mushrooms. You will be able to buy better foods in the drop shop such as tuna, protein bars, sardines and even dog food.

There will be fish and hares that can be caught and killed and cooked in the campfires.

Campfires can be crafted from the crafting menu and placed on the ground. When using campfires players need to keep in mind that both light and smoke pillar from it can expose your location to other players so some planning is needed when using them.

Campfires needs fuel to be used such as sticks or bark. At sundown the temperature will drop and you will start getting cold and crafting a campfire is necessary to survive.

All campfires have durabilites and will deteriorate whhen being used. This will make players have to craft new campfires from time to time.

So how long are we currently in the development?

Well! Network wise we are 80% done. Most features are done for multiplayer and working okey.
When we hit 100% we will go back and go over each feature to improve and see if theres any code we can slim down or maybe even redo.

The biggest feature to finish is the combat side and all the weapon equippi'ng etc. It currently works fully as single player but will need some work to fully functioning over the network.

We also are working on the early access terrain that will be used as playzone wich can be seen in the screenshots.

This will most likely change and get improved graphics wise to improve the looks and feel.

Since we currently are only 2 developers on the game and both working full time jobs we dont get as much time as we wanna spend on the development between family and daily life.

We currently looking for a concept artist, Ui designer and 3D modelers, Both for characters, items and level modeling that wanna help out on there free time. So if anyone wanna join please send message here or on discord!

That will be all for this week!
