n`Jutsu is a fight&blast game based on the manga/anime Naruto. An immense mass of possible moves - accessible by all characters - allows the player to decide if he wants to respect the source material or not in fatal fights against other people. Goal is to create a game with an unlimited number of tactics combining different jutsus.

... to memorize the mass of jutsus - already the first release with only two jutsutrees has 22 "spells"... and there are 10 more jutsutrees to come. I do realise that this means that the basic jutsus without genjutsus will grow to 132 (11 jutsus per tree, 12 basic jutsutrees) of them - secret jutsus not counted in... But on the other hand, if you cancel out the bigger versions, its only 5 different jutsus per tree, so its 60 moves to memorize... Yes, 60 is still a lot... ... I hope that players will find their individual line and style of playing nJ and that it wont be necessary to memorize all of them, turning it into a real role playing game - no XP points that noobs can get by slaughtering boars, only real experiences of the player will count. But that sounds more like a dream than something that could happen in reality... Any comments? |
