Hello everyone! Welcome to a new update for NAIRI! You may have noticed an image of the Luna Ruins in our announcement trailer. What is the Luna Ruins, you ask? Well, it’s one of the dungeons in NAIRI!

For NAIRI, we’ve split the way the game is played in two parts. During your time in the Overworld, you will be focusing on interacting with NPCs, exploring each location and obtaining or using the many items in the game. On the other hand, while the dungeons in the game are entirely puzzle-oriented, a bit more complex to navigate and usually darker in tone.

With that out of the way, it’s time for you to take a look at another dungeon: The Royal Observatory!

Dungeons in NAIRI are like little puzzle-boxes… and even the environment itself may hide little secrets! Notice the planetary system and the constellation on the observatory dome? Well, we can neither confirm nor deny that said objects might be very important. There’s plenty of doors in this one, and since some of them are locked, navigating the Royal Observatory is certainly very different from strolling down the streets of Shirin.

But fear not, because we are here to help you out with some maps!

As expected, a map helps you keep track of where you are in each Dungeon. The map will display obvious points of interests, as well as stairs, doors, your current position, and more. But what if a puzzle blocks your progress and not the tricky layout of the dungeon?

Well, you should remember that you can use Rex’ journal to look up any of the observations he automatically makes during gameplay, so that you don’t miss any crucial information! This will gently nudge you in the right direction. It’s a form of dynamic difficulty since the hint system is completely optional for puzzle pros, but offers immersive hints for players that do get stuck!
