Description
If not too deep underwater, putting glass below the surface can let some light into rooms. This also shows whether it is day or night.
Old fashioned way. :P
That's pretty cool. I remember one of the things that surprised me about Minecraft when I first played it was the dynamic lighting.

the lil cave is brighter during the day, meaning less torches. Cool idea
