This year I took part in the 2014 Global Game Jam, my first game jam, and I thought it was fantastic! In the weeks after, I set myself a dual challenge:
1. Build a simple game to learn Libgdx
2. Design, build and publish the game in 50 hours of development time.
Over the next month, I got the game finished, but I *just* went over on time, finishing in 54 hours. (oops)
But here is the result, Mine Escape! A simple 2D infinite runner that relies on sharp reflexes and an ability to stay calm when things get quick!
The aim was to develop a simple little time waster with a bit of challenge to it, learn libgdx, and practice my vector art skills.
A link to the Play Store listing is available on the game page, along with a .jar download for the Windows build!
Check it out and let me know what you think!
