In the not-so-distant future, an emissary finds himself trapped in the wreckage of a massive but ancient space ship. Now, rather than trying to find out where the ship came from or what its purpose was, he is more concerned with trying to escape the nightmarish ever-changing world that threatens to become his tomb... Many Worlds Theory is currently available as an alpha funding deal. While the story mode is not yet finished, there are a few fully featured levels available to at least give you a taste of what it will be like. On top of that, purchasing the game gives you access to the online level database. Create your own levels, or try to solve the creations of others! Plus, as an added incentive, you will also receive a free, non-Desura copy of the game to give away! In order to access the online functionality and get your free game key, you need to connect your Desura account to the game. This can be done by opening the 'CONNECT' tab on this profile page.

Upon loading saved game I get "your computer seems to not support OpenGL rendering. Please update graphic drivers". Which does not make sense since everything works fine except load game, if this was something with drivers it should crash upon game launch.

Hello LordAcharis,

Looks like that error message is indeed in the wrong place, I'll be sure to correct it.

As for your actual problem: There should be two files of interest in the game's install directory: error.log and console.log. Could you post the contents of these files here? That should help a great deal with troubleshooting the problem. Thanks!

I had the same problem after trying the quicksave/load in the tutorial level. Now I can't even start the game again. I still see the splash screen but I get a useless Windows error message: "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working"
This is my console.log:

Checking if LWJGL OpenAL is compatible...
    ...yes

Starting up SoundSystem...
Initializing LWJGL OpenAL
(The LWJGL binding of OpenAL. For more information, see http://www.lwjgl.org)

error.log is empty.

If Java is crashing hard, it's more likely to be a problem with your setup, rather than the game, especially since there doesn't seem to be anything going wrong if the log files are to be believed. Unfortunately, Java isn't always the most stable platform.

If you haven't already, you could try downloading the newest version of the Java runtime environment from Java.com, or uninstalling/reinstalling your current Java version. If that doesn't help you out, then I'm afraid the Java gods simply aren't feeling generous today...

As for the savegame crashing problem, I still haven't figured out what is causing it. It appears to hit only a select few people with no obvious reason. I haven't been able to reproduce it on any system, which makes it even harder to locate the cause.
