Macbat 64 is a love letter to the late 90s 3D games. Be it the N64, the Sega Saturn or the Sony Playstation, this game emulates the feel from a long forgotten and very lowpoly time in a cute cartoony and simple way.

Inspired by many games from the late 90s(Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Kirby 64, Mario Kart and many other) I try to recreate this nostalgic feeling, of sitting in front of your TV as a kid, in a PC game. For this goal I am using of a lot of very blocky low poly models, low resolution textures(some of them have a resolution of 32x32!) and amazing music by the one and only Jay Moser.

While the game does feature a variety of different gameplay mechanics, at it's core it is a mix between Adventure and 3D Platformer. Featuring over 10 very different Micro-Worlds(think of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker) you will encounter many different level themes, from Jungle over kart racing to a forest full of fantasy tropes (Even a rhinoceros Conan look-a-like...).

Every Micro-World has it's very own objective and it's up to the player to solve the, very different, puzzles in order to complete a world. On there journey, the player will encounter a colorful cast of strange yet likeable(some of them at least...) creatures who will help our fancy dressed bat on it's journey.

The game is set to be released this fall and you can already play the first of two alpha demos. The second one will be released in the near future and will feature two complete micro worlds to explore and solve!
