Mable and the Wood is not your standard pixel art platformer. For a start, you can’t jump. You can’t even lift the mysterious giant sword that Mable drags along the ground!

Fortunately for you (and her), Mable is a shape-shifter who can transform into a fairy and fly off, leaving her sword in the ground. That giant sword can then be pulled back to her hand, slicing through anything in its path.

A fairy isn’t the only thing she can transform into, as defeating the Spider Queen, Mole Man, Medusa, Stone Giant and other bosses will unlock their form for you. These additional forms provide new ways for you to traverse the environment, reaching previously isolated locations and unlocking secret areas, as well as providing powerful tools to defeat anything that stands in your way.

But there isn’t just one route and one approach to Mable and the Wood. It’s packed with secrets and hidden paths that mean you can find your own way through the world, discovering long forgotten places and speaking to the people who forgot themselves there. There’s multiple endings to unlock and hidden scenes that add a different perspective to your quest to save the world.

Maybe you’ll find out why you’ve been summoned to destroy all of these monsters, or maybe you’ll decide they’re not actually that monstrous after all. Maybe you’ll want to kill them all, or maybe you’ll walk a different path.
