The development process of Kitty and the target release year.

HELLO FELLOW GAMERS AND HORROR FANS!
I would like to give you all a basic idea and status update of Kitty and how it is currently going. An update that I feel is necessary since the listed release date here is "TBA," which is a bit too vague.

So here's the deal, I started this project three years ago and it took me quite a long time to get all the planning and ideas down. It wasn't until July 2014 that I had finally established and created a wonderful game engine, story, and atmosphere that I felt happy with. The reason for such a crazy and long development time is because there were a lot of failed ideas, experiments, tears, and coding that ended up being scrapped (Keep in mind I am also juggling college too!). Fun fact: this game was actually suppose to be an FPS! I couldn't find what I was looking for, and I didn't want to give up my passion for creating an exciting and unique successor to my last great hit SLIME BOMB KNIGHT (Which you can download on my profile or website!). After failed idea after after failed idea.... I can now happily say that through trial and error I've officially found my vision and direction of this game. Being so passionate about this idea, I have been working like a maniac for the past 4 months.

Now to make things clear, this game's initial creating process IS NOT just fleshing out (no pun intended) random level after level or spewing whatever I can think of off the top of my head. This game is following a STRICT map of ideas that I have carefully created and thought of over the course of those three years. The story is complete, the idea is complete, the power ups are complete, the only challenge now exists in transferring these fantastic ideas and passion into the project itself.

So right now, I can proudly say that I have completed ALL of the cutscenes, the introduction sequence (including exposition of main character), first level, first power-up ability, and first boss. The game is still far from complete (expect 6 very long and unique levels.) However, with the rate I am making it I expect it to be completed somewhere in 2016.

Prepare to travel to different dimensions with a variety of vicious and morbid creatures but until then, stay tuned everyone!
