Hi all! It's taken us entirely too long to get Iron Fish up on IndieDB, so we thought we'd start off with a little introductory post to let you know what we're all about.

Iron Fish is a psychological deep-sea thriller that challenges players to navigate the dangers that lurk at the bottom of the ocean, where humans no longer have the upper hand.

In it, you play as Cerys - a deep sea investigator for an elite British Naval group. Using your state-of-the-art, government-funded equipment to submerge as far as humans can go, you'll set off on a journey of discovery through what lies forgotten in the abyss.

But seven miles under the surface is dangerous territory for humans, especially when only five per cent of Earth’s oceans have been explored so far.

Cerys's missions will lead the player to uncover mysteries of the deep and survive its harsh and perilous environment. Come face to face with creatures that have never seen the light of day, question what is science or myth, and solve the unanswered questions of Cerys's past.

We've been working on Iron Fish since late 2014, in collaboration with the most excellent game designer Dean Edwards. We've assembled an incredible team to work on the game, which includes ex-EA, Sony, Sega and Psygnosis types here in our London studio, as well as a plethora of fabulous indie game devs from around the world.

We were delighted with the response to Iron Fish when we announced it back in May. Our teaser trailer was picked up by IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid, RPS and more besides, while our Steam Greenlight campaign saw us get the green light within just 72 hours. Since then, we've been working hard to ensure that the game lives up to expectations, and we can't wait to see what everyone thinks of the final result.

For the UK types among you, do know that Iron Fish will be playable for the first time ever at this year's EGX in Birmingham.

Finally, we'd like to invite you to join our mailing list. We know, we know, mailing lists are awful and spammy. We promise we will try to keep this to a minimum. But it's important to us that we can communicate directly with our potential players, and building a list seems like the most sensible way to do this. We hope you'll take the plunge, so to speak.

Anyway, that's just about it for our little intro update. We'll endeavour to keep our profile here as active as possible - and hope some of you will dig out your diving suits when the game is released.
