The story of "Helium Electric" takes place in the 80s, in which corporations have taken control due to a lack of resources. The player works for one of these corporations called "Helium Electric" and mans a lunar station alone with the task of mining helium-3. The goal is to achieve the highest possible helium mining rate in order to financially support family and friends on Earth. The technology available to do this is the latest from 1986.
