A retro themed Helicopter game for mobile (and possibly PC) that combines Choplifter and Crazy Taxi. Players get to tackle a large city where they pick up passengers and try to get them safely to their destinations. Sprinkle in some story missions and an upgrade shop, and you have Helicopteropolis!
A bunch of sketches from this weeks non-code work....amongst other things, I'm trying to figure out the story of our hero's pet bird (a possible player 2 if I can squeeze in some interesting co-op gameplay).
Originally a "Trigger-happy Bald Eagle", I'm leaning more towards a "Shell-shocked Seagull that think he's an Eagle". He can't fly, so if he needs to take flight it's either in his owners helicopter or via a helicopter backpack (see the upper left doodle).
It's also really hard to give a bird a 5o'clock shadow. Any suggestions in that area are appreciated :)
With all these helicopters that need piloting, it seems noone has time for exercise any more, even birds.

I like tooney style here though (the helicopter backpack made me laugh), kinda like what I'd draw if I wasn't completely useless with a pencil.
