Does this PC version lack some of the content I've been hearing about in the DS version? Extra difficulty settings, playable characters?
can confirm that the 3ds version has 2 extra characters 1 unlocks once you beat the game and PC doesn't have the difficulty setting

Sadly yes. From what I could gather (being not a console gamer) the PC version lacks a playable character. Don´t know if there are other things, but I suspect yes. The console version was a big sucess and seems to have got more attention.
