Working on an appropriate "base" for spells that are cast. In this concept, I'm using the elemental sigil for the base, which seems appropriate.
Another reason for a big base covering your character up is so the spell doesn't look like it's shooting out of your chest, but rather, out of a sigil.
This looks really sweet - and good idea about the sigil being the source of the spell. Will the attacked card/character react at all other than at the point of collision?
Thanks! Yeah, cards will have a sort of "floating" animation on them to begin with so they aren't so static. A little kickback on yourself when your spell is cast and a hit animation on your target.
Should look pretty cool when it's all done. Getting hit harder will have different animations with it.
