Post feature Report RSS Gravtar H.U.D walktrough...

With the prototype of Gravtar coming within the end of the month, I'll explain a bit about the Heads Up Display (H.U.D) interface of the game as well as the game-play mechanics

Prototype

Gravtar is a futuristic racer where you get to race cars capable of hovering around tracks in the sky. The concept gives a lot of flexibility for the paths traced by these tracks, but that's for another time.

The H.U.D interface - still under development - gives a lot of information to give you a better idea of your situation throughout the race. The features are described right below:

Prototype

  • Radar: At the top left corner of the screen, you'll see your radar with a little map of the track, here you get to know at which parts of the track you are racing at the moment. Though you can't see your opponents, the trackers were designed to give you an edge on this matter.
Prototype

  • Tracker: Each opponent's position is tracked and shown to you real-time so you know where they are and how you'll make the best decision to overtake their position, or prevent them from taking yours.
Prototype

  • Velocimeter: Doesn't get more straightforward. Check how fast you're racing here. There are wheels at the outer side of the circle that rotates relatively to the speed attained, this further helps to give a sense of how fast you're driving.
Prototype

  • Player Tags: Get to know your current place in the race so you rush to better it, maybe by using one of your turbos, if there's any left.
Prototype

  • Center Tag: If you care about completing laps as fast as possible and beat your own record and other's as well, you can just check the best time it took for you to finish a lap here and try to beat it the next time, you can also check how many laps are left for the race to finish.

Thanks for reading, prototype will be out soon, cheers!
