We've been playing with the idea of a dynamic environment level for some time now. Toward that end we've prototyped up a moving asteroids level, as you can see in the screenshots below.
Asteroids carry players from one side of the screen to the other, toward a black hole or other destructive hazard. In addition to dealing with enemies in survival mode or deathmatch, players will have to watch their position constantly and fight against the massive gravity field of a black hole. Destructive hazards will also bring the high explosive rounds, gravity reverse rounds, and push gun into play, as players learn to use the environment to destroy their enemies in addition to direct and indirect fire.

We'd love to know what everybody thinks of the new level and how it plays, so we'll try to get it into the demo as soon as we can.
