Description

Take care of your grandma's old bakery! Explore the nearby areas for ingredients and various pages from your grandmother’s recipe book!

History

Grandma's Recipes is inspired by Bombarral, a small town where members of our studio grew up. We wanted to tell a short story about the area, and so we decided to create a more casual exploration game, to showcase the town's tranquility.

To get the recipes, we went to multiple restaurants and bakeries, and asked how different dishes were made, which allowed us to better understand not only the food itself, but also the history behind them.

The game began as an academic project for the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, but the team later decided to finish the game and release it as a short tale and recently recieved 2 Playstation Talent® Awards for Best Art and Best Kids Game!
