Gold is a free Western/Sci-Fi/Post-Apocalyptic RPG from Digital Bear.

Gold follows the story of Clint, Sherrif of Sunset Town, "Guardian" of the gold, who up until recently had been living a perfectly normal life.

Until Terra Corp came back,
they were running out of money to stay on their new paradise "E.20", and needed something they could sell off to their industrial overlords for profit, something rare, something from Earth, something...
Golden.

Gold is expected to release some time in 2012

My plans for "Gold"

News

Yes, I know I'm a newbie at game development. Yes, I cannot program. Yes, this game is 2D, but I want to try and make this game as fun as possible.

Here's what I will (hopefully) add as time goes on:

  • Some form of functioning casino
  • Driving sequences
  • Drug dealers (No particular reason for this as of yet)
  • Fully moddable (this is very easy to do)

Those are a few things that I want to add as time goes on, but for now I am currently focusing on the starting areas and the storyline.

I hope that when this game comes out, people won't judge it on the graphics or the engine that I'm using (a free, basic one, but its still very flexible and good for creative people).

I hope to add more, but until next time, keep your vaults locked as Terra Corp might come snooping!

I have to be adamant about this, the size of the maps and rooms should be smaller. It looks like a football field there, and it's tiring to run all that distance.

Other than that though, looks promising. Be sure to look on the site's resources and tutorials, (which i see you've done some). :)

Yeah, I was considering making the maps a tad smaller, thanks for pointing that out :)
