We want to make this game great! To do so we feel some big changes from the original contest entry are needed.

  1. Changing the perspective
    1. We're changing the perspective to 3rd person. After playing the demo many people though this would lead to better gameplay, and we agree. Let's go for it!
  2. Upgrade the art style
    1. We want our game to be slick. While the original art style was fun, and good for the competition, we'd like the game to be taken more seriously. Meaning, with a lighter style, it feels like the content needs to be lighter, and we'd like it to be a little heavier. We might be shooting towards the stars a little here, but we're aiming for an Overwatch look and feel.
  3. Combat
    1. Changing the perspective to 3rd person is going to need a new combat style. EWar:DT actually started as just Endless War, but we took our original concept and shoved it into a pretty tight mold for the contest. A lot of stuff got removed! With the new perspective, we can now go more towards the original combat style we wanted. Again, shooting for the stars a bit, but we're looking to see if we can do something along the lines of the Arkham: Batman series, with button indicators allowing for some sweet counter attacks.

Those are three biggies. Feel free to tell us what you think about these changes. We take our community serious!
