ENDCIV is a post apocalyptic strategy game with city building elements. The major challenge for the player is to build-up a settlement and defend it against various threats. Some of the resources are directly connected to the environmental simulation such as animal population and weather, dependent on daytime, season, rain and wind.

You’ve managed cities in medieval ages, Rome, Egypt, foreign planets – Now it's time to discover the wastelands!

  • Rebuild civilization in a world full of misery and criminal anarchy
  • Craft a flourishing town from the ashes of the past
  • Decide yourself either to conquer or to ally
  • Enjoy a detailed simulated world

In a world where civilization suffered from weather phenomena and collapsed financial markets, a group of people lost their shelter and are now on the search for a new place to live. Help these people to survive in the wastelands. Explore the unknown environment to find shelter and a supply of food and water for the early days. Your foremost duty is to avoid dehydration and starvation at all cost.

Improve the settlement with a campfire, storage facilities and cardboard beds. As the game progresses you will be able to provide more and more for your citizens. Build houses for them. Provide a variety of food and clean water. Keep them unharmed and even take care of entertainment.

Enjoy a detailed simulation. Manage food and water under harsh conditions. Water loses quality over time and food does rot. Even rotten food does not just disappear but has to be composted. During the game you also have to manage energy, agriculture and labor and each aspect relies on certain real world aspects.

Lead a successful settlement. Acquire a fortune of goods, keep your citizens satisfied and improve the daily routine with new technology and resources. Then your reputation will increase and strangers will take notice. You will be visited by nomads who want to join your tribe and merchants who want to offer a trade.

But beware, big attention will also lead to threats. Raider tribes demand your hard acquired goods and early on you often have no other option as to share them with humility. To have no enemies is a very valuable circumstance unless you aim to assault others yourself. Which path you choose is up to you! Either arm up or focus on the economy and strong allies - both are viable strategies.

I like it how you guys made the exploring system. Where everything is just black when you havent moved around

This encourages a lot of traveling :D

This looks awesome! I love this genre and you seem to be building a very polished game.

One thing would make this one of the best games ever for me would be cooperative multiplayer, though. As it stands there are almost no isometric/top-down sandbox/strategy games with cooperative elements.
Is this somewhere on the roadmap or are you planning to stay strictly singleplayer?

I actually never thought about a cooperative multiplayer, despite that I have to say that multiplayer is nearly impossible with the current circumstances, a cooperative mode is really something that could work. One of the issues is the style of the game and time control which is bad for competitive multiplayer.

But let us finish the core game first before we throw this into the hat :)

Really like this! Been wanting something like this for a while too hehe! I just had a thought, would love it if you could set up your own law enforcement agency, bring back some law and order, fortifications for you town is a must as well! Are there any visible trade caravans? Perhaps some animal domestication could be involved with it, get some pack mules, escort them across the wasteland and such!
