I have played demo and im really shocked :) great gameplay :) realistic physic :) nothing more to tell :) anyway put some postprocess like HDR it will incrase game look :) i see you still need to optymize it i tested game on Intel E5200 2x2.5Ghz 2Gb ram memory and GeForce9800GT 1024mb Video memory resolution set to 1440x900 full details, average fps was 40? a little bit low in my opinion ;)

I have found a lot of stuff in the engine that needs to be optimized, some simple fixes.

I do have a little bit of HDR, not overdone though like most games. Its hard to get right though especially with fake HDR where everything is in the range of 0-255.

Why you not use FULL HDRR ? its really simple to implement and not comsuming a lot of GPU power :)

I wrote the HDR code a long time ago, back when I only had a Shader 1.1 capable card and so was limited by capabilities. Since then I have never had the chance to go back and change it. Still quite a lot of things I want to implement but so little time.

Better not to use SSAO cost is still to much for Racing games and effects are not visible (I implemented SSAO and tested) you have to use min 2 offscreen buffer to make it (includeing depthmap) so its a lot of calculations in other way if you use big contrast its can make game looks verid...
