You are a God! You are master and ruler of a loyal nation. You have unimaginable powers at your disposal. You have claimed this world as yours. But there are others who stand in your way. You must defeat and destroy these pretenders. Only then can you ascend to godhood and become the new Pantokrator. When you start the game you decide what kind of god you are and how your DOMINION affects your lands and followers. It is an expression of your divine might and the faith of your followers. If your dominion dies, so do you. Your dominion also inspires your sacred warriors and gives them powers derived from your dominion. In order to win and become the one true god you have to defeat your enemies one of three different ways: conquer their lands, extinguish their dominion or claim the Thrones of Ascension. Release version and manual is available now. Manual can be downloaded from Illwinter's web page.

DOWNLOAD LINK (preview/alpha) Silly? Definetely. But why not? I felt like releasing something small and (to me)funny, so here is it. It adds 4 pretenders available to all land nation - the Bringer of Gifts in two versions(one has a magical sled), the Punisher of the Wicked(based on the Krampus), and the Giant Snowman. Sprites are still fairly rough(as are descriptions) but they should not be too horrible, except for the lack of attack ones. Not a serious project, but if other people want to help or take over, they are welcome. I did think of some other related concepts that could be used in this(Snowmen army, gift-giving broom flying crones...) Edited by: TheZonk |

Why do you call it "winter holidays" mod when the only holiday included is Xmas>? |
||
Dec 23 2013 Anchor | ||
It's a sketch/first draft(again not a serious project) hence other things are meant to be included, such as non-Christmas specific stuff, although I'm not too familiar with them so if people want to add... Also seemed odd to mention Christ-mas specifically since there's no Christ-related pretender. Dominions wise, one could do something with the Prophet of Ermor actually, who has returned to protest against the other winter-holiday prophet as he says the holiday was originally about him? ... Prophetshroudedinwhitemas doesn't sound as cool. I suspect some people would be offended but Dominions as a game doesn't seem toy care much real-world religious beliefs so it doesn't really matter. Actually, might be interesting expand or change this include other holidays, like Halloween(Pumpkin King pretender!), Easter, and of course non western festivals. Edited by: TheZonk |

Seasonal heroes would be a great idea! Random chance of appearing to any nation would be best in my opinion. For spring, I could imagine a huge berserking vorpal rabbit! He could increase the income and growth of the province he's in due to random eggs appearing whenever he is nearby. During battle, he could summon smaller vorpal rabbits as support. A Pumpkin King hero, who has a chance to appear during the fall would be amazing! For winter, perhaps some kind of Priest in Red! Edited by: DariusFF |

Can't really mod heroes that can appear for any nation BUT could add them to nations that fit particularly. Can't make them appear in one seaso nonly, though. I do like the idea of serious seasonal spirits, but can't really think of something for summer. By the way, spring could get the cupid, a small angel(mini-virtue)with arrows of love(enslave, MR resist) stealth and assassination And I did think of a Jack Skellington guy, but I'd have him separate from the pumpkin king. |

So I made a mini-mod where one gets a spell to summon a "Pumpkin King" (I copied the sprite of a hoburg militia) who summons 5 random monsters per month! Edited by: DariusFF |

That's pretty awesome actually, seems a good list of Halloween monsters(well, Troll and Ogres don't seem so 'iconic' but they can stay). Maybe when I have more time we should join forces and put our mini-mods together . I also had considered a spell to summon snowmen(as in, actual men made of snow). Also, Pumpkin King should have an awesome giant sprite with a pumpkin head and the Fallpower ability As I said, bonus points if these things can be made semi-serious enough to fit into an actual dominions game. It shouldn't be too hard considering how Halloween was an important a Celtic festival. Edited by: TheZonk |

The problem with the #montag command is that its completely random! The only way to make powerful monsters appear less often is to expand the list. I'd absolutely love to see your ideas! Some of the nation mods presented here are a little too serious! we need some nations made for FUN! |

What I meant about #montag - you could make different montags/lists of members, and summon 5 'weak ones', 3 'average' ones', 1 'strong one', assuming summon allies works like it should. Anyway, as I I have other mods and stuff and this isn't very priority but as we said it WOULD be very fun. The whole concept of a Halloween/horror mod would really fit best as a full nation btw. It could be something like 'monster town' or the like, with vampires living side by side with weresolves, trolls and various horrible creatures. |

Agreed! Hopefully the developers release the death-related commands soon! I'd love to work on a halloween-type nation. Imagine Buffy or Van Helsing in Dominions!! Edited by: DariusFF |

The Alucard mod. You have Alucard as pretender, and you cannot recruit anything else. Good luck to your opponent, they will need it. (reference to the Hellsing anime) |

What are the "death-related commands" we don't have yet? |

So far we don't have death scale versions of: I'd honestly love to see other scale versions of #iceprot too! |
