Twiceborn - looking for players Thread - Dominions 3: The Awakening

Hey everyone, hope you are having a great day today.

I ended up buying Dominions 3 again when I saw that Dominions 4 was coming out, and I wanted to play some multiplayer as I consider it one of the core features of Dominions that I never really enjoyed back in the days on the Shrapnel forums, I was mostly busy playing on 9 Indies and coming up with random strategies.

It is basically my first time hosting (Don't think hotseat counts), so any assistance would be appreciated, I do not really know what are the MP Standards like the Mods used to example, nor do I know which nations are considered too powerful.

General Game Information

Network or PBEM - PBEM (http://www.llamaserver.net/)
Hosting Schedule - 28hrs First 12 turns (Quickhost enabled), then we can debate whether we want to increase it or not.
Number of Players - 4-7 (I want to keep it diversified but not too big)
Skill level - Returning players with little to no MP experience, new players wishing to try their strategies in a small game to see whether they can react to traditional MP strategies. Intermediate players debatable, no to elites (Sorry!)
Expected Commitment Level - Average commitment, I expect everyone to maintain a good commitment but staling a turn or two is not a big problem. Just don't do it all the time...

Nation Selection - All open,1st come 1st served basis, could someone please assist me on this?, I am not sure which nations are considered too powerful for a type of game like this.

Victory Conditions - Total Domination or Consensus vote among remaining players
Diplomacy - Non-aggression pacts can be broken but you will be reported on the thread so other players know (Can't think of another way to make it fair). Trade Agreements are binding, otherwise anything goes
General Rules - Do not go AI without informing people on the thread.
Disallowed Exploits - All banned exploits, I don't know many of them, but using communion matrices with shapeshift for example is banned.

Well, I'm a newbie who hasn't played a single MP game before. I've played singleplayer for a while to train but I'm probably gonna get trounced by anyone with some MP experience at all. Regardless, if I'm not considered too new, I'd be interested in joining as Shinuyama.

I am an intermediate, though admittedly on the lousy side.

that said, you may not want me if you can find enough other players.

my game situation is odd, as i'm in 3 but they rarely host, so I guess I have time to get in a new game.

i'd suggest you keep me as an alternate.

if you do use me, I have admined two games, so I may be of some assistance there.

anyway, if I do get in, i'd love to try one last game as my beloved MA Ulm. I love all that armor, even though it turns out, it isn't all that useful.

I'd like to play one last dom3 game. I am a newish MP player who has not won a game yet, but who has made it to late game in a strong position several times. I would like to try MA arco. I'll play any of the mods cbm 1.6, awesome gods or cbm 1.94. My preference would be cbm 1.94.

Streamlands if we have 7 players, small divide if less.

I've played one MP game. I'd like to join this game too, voting for CBM 1.94.

Not sure yet what nation i'd play, i tend to play more EA. Maybe Ctis or Pythium.

yeah, i'd like cbm 1.94. also, tenuki is right, renaming is nice(I usually like to name some of my heros different things)

I also wouldn't mind indie strength higher.

@tenuki It was all planned, I wanted to see what were people's opinion on renaming. I will switch that on right away
@lukasr Welcome as TC, well we are almost full, so I think the game can be started in the coming couple of days, so you will be away from 26th Aug - 30th Aug? Zero access to internet during that time?

Ok, so i will be Pythium.

On the topic of indie strength, i'd vote it to up it by one only. The fun of MP games is to fight other humans, not some provinces full of indie knights. We can all play SP for that.

I decided to leave indies at default after all

Ill be away from 24th to the 31st. I think There is a very small chance of access to internet at one day during the week, but its not certain that i will have my laptop.
Considering this, I've decided to back out. Sorry, but it's better that i go now rather than when the game is in full swing.
