I must speak to you about a matter most urgent.
Word has reached the Council about your successes against the A’Kari fleets that are now scattered across the galaxy. While your war efforts do not go unpraised, there are those who question the sanity of continuing to commit excessive resources against a weakened foe…particularly when it leaves key systems undefended.
“Blinded by his thirst for vengeance” was heard through the doors of the Council Chambers yesterday and I suspect that is no more than a precursor to the political backlash that’s heading your way.
I urge you to stay your hand in these matters. The A’Kari are broken and in days the Arc of Ascension will be in our hands. It would be foolish to antagonise the Council further.

Who cares about the Council?? For centuries they did nothing while the Arc lay in the hands of the A’Kari!! And now they question MY methods?? Where were they when the A’Kari ambushed us at Lionesse? Where were they when the A’Kari attacked our colonies on Thule??? Do you honestly believe I would let these dogs dictate military strategy from the comfort of their whore houses in Orthan City? I’d rather a child draw up our battleplans than they be concocted by Councilmen who prefer Erisian nectar over common sense!
Pah! Excessive? Excessive??? A tactician uses precisely enough force to win the battle – no more, no less.
Take this back to your paymasters…FLEET COMMANDER VILARDINO DOES NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE!!!!
