I'm not sure how I feel about the stencil effect.

I thought it was gonna be first person and you could see the teeth, that's what made this game stand out to me.

It is still possible to switch to first person view. After extensive play-testing we found it was kind of confusing to lock onto targets and navigate with. So we have set third person as the default game camera mode. Still,1P is sure a fun perspective to switch to if you're looking to feel like some kind of out of control sharkey race-car : )

I understand the change is for ease of movement, but isn't it kind of an unfair advantage for the shark team to be having the extra visibility that third person provides? Coupled with their visual aids how can a diver expect to hide when sharks have so much visibility?

Olmec is full of tunnels, ruined structures, dense foliage, and other great places to hide. Divers hear a pounding heartbeat sound when a shark is nearby, so they have time to get to cover. Add to this the Watcher's "tag" gun ( seen in the latest image in the gallery) , and a skilled team of divers will always have a pretty good idea where sharks are in relation to them. Obviously they will get busted from time to time, it's inevitable. But would the game be any fun if sharks could never find any divers?

Fair enough! Sorry to be the downer, sounds like the extra visibility is well balanced. By the way, the visuals look amazing!

love that you still can chose what you prefer as the player. also no one ever mentioned the look and feel of these old, destroyed "city" parts we can see in many of the new shots -> love the details and old rocky look of it! can't wait to give my tailfin that extra boost and speed up through all those small, big and dark ruins! :>
