I am delighted to announce that the Windows version of the game Defender Story will be available on Desura on the 12th of August 2013... The game is a nice mixture of tower defense and RPG set up in a dark fantasy world.
The game mechanics are an addictive blend of tower defense and colored gem tactics that transform base units into super units with different strengths and weaknesses.
The Graphics are not at the level of a crazy multi-million dollars game production, but, the talented art work of Victor Garcia Puig shows through the game, especially through character design. The levels are also designed to look like tolkien-styled-looking maps, in the hope to bring a little extra visual originality.
The player will face some pretty harsh choices, where the distinction between evil and good is not always clear.
I hope you people will enjoy playing the game as much as I enjoyed making it ! :)
P.S. at the heart of the game is a Java jar file that can presently run on Windows, Mac and Linux, so the Mac and Linux versions should be there soon - the time for me to sort out the one liner batch script that can call it on either of these platforms...
It will not fine jar/program, just get the error an error message saying this when I click to play.
