I've been meaning to update Deadstone's demo for some time, as the game has received a considerable amount of attention since the initial release in July. But as the only full time developer working on Deadstone, time is ever the enemy.
These changes were, for the most part, motivated by feedback taken from reviews and from the community. Each piece of feedback was written down as it came in, allowing for the key issues to be identified and tackled. Deadstone's pacing is more frantic, thanks to twice as many enemies and faster movement for all units, the weapons more fun, with faster firing and large capacity, and 15 new perks have been added, to a total of 59. A new game mode, survival has been added, which game journalist Rob Cram investigates here, although this mode isn't present in the demo.
