You’ll be able to play as one of the four people that got trapped inside this haunted hotel. As a survivor your main objective will be finding your way out, as well as helping your fellows get out too. You’ll often find yourself on the edge, hearing and seeing ghostly things, trying to find keys and items to help in your escape. And sometimes you’ll find yourself running desperately from a monster, who’s there only to hunt down and kill you and your friends. You’ll also be able to play as the monster. You’ll assume an ethereal form, which you’ll use to haunt the survivors, triggering eerie noises and events. You’ll also assume a physical form, which will allow you to hunt and kill the survivors trapped in the hotel. It’ll be your killing spree. I've seen this in other games before, or mods, but whenever a person dies, they should be able to become a fly, or a rat, or a spider, etc. If this were to be implicated, the monster shouldn't be able to see them though, since he could just follow it and possibly give away other players position if the phantom is playing, very doubtful for the lerker though

That would be cool, but I don't see the need to actually be a fly/rat /spider. Just a normal free cam where no other players can see you would be fine. Either way would be nice, but the normal free cam would be easier to implement I imagine.

It would be interesting if it turned into a gameplay element, where you were some kind of ghost player(still not visible to anyone) that could set off one trap(like only one trap per dead player) that could either distract the monster or lure him to a survivor(if you want to be a jerk). Of course that would need a toggle option in the game settings, but I could see that being a fun addition and would give dead players something extra to do.
