Game crashes on start up? (Games : Damned : Forum : Bug Reports : Game crashes on start up?) Locked

A bug I've encountered, causing me not being able to play the game at all, not even get to the main menu.
I load the game from the Desura Client and I get a black screen and I then have to bring up Task Manager to close the game as it's "Not Responding". My resolution also changes from 1920 x 1080 to something along the lines of 800 x 600.
I've tried to load the game from the game folder itself, as a normal user and as an admin, I've tried to check the files and I've reinstalled the game, none of these have worked.
Any suggestions on what I could try to do?

Thanks, Hamster.

Try opening the file C:/Program Files/Desura/Common/Damned/DamnedData/Config/setup.cfg and changing the resolution there to one matching your screen.

Let us know if that doesn't solve your problem.

Hi
Install Python 2.7: Python.org
and
try setting the compatibility to Windows XP - Service Pack 3
i hope this helps:)
