CEO Elizabeth Austin hosts an international competition called "Crush Zone: Demolition Derby", which drivers around the word enter and compete in the gladiatorial games for the grand prize. In a match, players must do what they can to destroy the competition, whether it’s ramming them into walls and deadly traps, knocking them out of their car, or making use of the many weapons attached to their customised ride.
Currently in the demo, the only playable mode which contestants can battle in is free-for-all in single or local splitscreen multiplayer.
In future releases, contestants will be able to play in the campaign, which follows the story of ‘Gear Head’ and their journey to overthrowing the corrupt host Elizabeth Austin; and battle it out with friends in the online multiplayer mode.
