I started with programming of Creawo nearly a year ago. I was fascinated by
Minecraft (I love this Game) and thought about an own 2D Version which isn't a 1:1 Copy.
The whole Story is a little bit longer. I can tell it you later. ;)
At this time i didn't know about Terraria.
(Only a few Months later i found out that Terraria existed.)

Creawo is programmed in Game Maker with the Programming Language GML.
This game does support Chunks and allow nearly Infinite Worlds. Only the memory-limitations
of PCs doesn't allow real "infinite" Worlds. (At some Point, the Computer can't handle such a huge amount of Data.)
The World is only on the x-Axis infinite. The height of the World is 128 Blocks.

The Game has 3 Layers in which you can place the Blocks. The normal layer,
the Background and the Foreground. For better explaining just look
at the Videos on my Youtube-Channel.

The Games Graphics are very simple and looks more like a Cartoonish-Grid.
The Textures of 1 block have a Resolution of 16*16 Pixels.
The Game has the ability of changing the Texturepack. So Gamers will be allowed to
create their own Textures for the Game.

I have some Concepts wrote down on Paper. I just started to implement some
Core-Gameplayfeatures. That's because i worked the whole Time mainly on
the Game-engine itselfs. (an i am still doing it...)
So actually, this game can look like a Copy/Clone of Minecraft (or Terraria).

I hope you give this Game a Chance. ;)

No if you read the top of the page you will see that he didn't want to make a 1:1 clone. Meaning he didn't want it to be completely like Minecraft but 2D. His inspiration came from Minecraft but again he didn't want it to be like Minecraft :P
