Just an update here on the current progress, I recently finished animating the final seven missing death animations for the enemies - and went through a 22 page bug report (with pictures! It wasn't all text!) that resolved probably 95% of any bugs that were happening with enemies while the game was paused. They now all pause properly and resume their actions when the sub-menus are closed.
Also took care of a little enemy balancing in this update, mostly increasing the aggressiveness of some of the monsters. More on that to come in future game updates as my testing group provides feedback.
