Description
Conception is a brainstorming tool that allows current (and aspiring) game developers to jump-start themselves into their next project. With the ability to provide rigorous constraints, there are plenty of opportunities to innovate creatively.
History
Conception started out as a hobby project. Prior to developing it, I took part in two game jams that helped me realize how much fun game development could be, and I wanted to be challenged more often and with more difficulty than any game jam could provide.
As part of my expired game dev blog series, I would make a game every week to test my limits. Conception was the next project up, though it took 4 weeks total to research and finish the prototype.
Nearly a year later, Kevin and I founded our own company, with Conception being our first formal release. We're re-working it from the ground up with plenty of additional features, so stay tuned!
