First of all, I have to say thank you guys for the wildly positive support that you have given this game. It's been my baby for the past year and I'm so happy that there is a platform out there willing to bring Color Jumper to life! It has been my dream since I was a kid writing QBasic code on my Commodore64 to create a game that other people might be interested in and now that dream is finally happening.
So I am working on a 1.0.5 patch for the demo version of the game. This patch will include a lot of back-end stuff for keyboard/controller stuff as well as a new menu with more options for gameplay. Also a handful of small bug fixes found by the community, but all the major ones are squashed at this point.
After that I'll probably do a 1.0.6 patch to fix any new menu bugs that popped up and get everything wrapped up. My ideal goal is to basically sit down and just make a ton of levels and not have to worry about bug fixing along the way.
Early 2017 release date
I've stated an early 2017 release date and I am going to stick to that. I know it is a ways out, but there is a lot of work left to do with level design and bosses before. Beyond that, I have several other major projects unrelated to the game that I'm obligated to finish. As excited as I am to start work on Color Jumper, I need to focus efforts on things I've already promised.
I will keep everyone updated along the way. I am incredibly happy to have gotten this far and I can't thank you guys enough for helping make it happen! <3
