I like the ship but I love the custom skybox. I tried making one a while back, but it didn't come out as nice. How many images did you use? Also, you might try fish eye warping each individual frame so that it looks more spherical.

im fine with that.... just don't become what eve has become...
If i may give my 2 cents, try basing it off of Sins of a solar empire's skyboxes. in my opinion, they are much more beautiful than EVE and catch a much deeper essence of space.
