Hey Guys,
We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Kalypso Media for the release of our latest title: Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons
In Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons you take command of the Black Talons company, a fearless mercenary unit currently stationed in the Oberon system, torn apart by ruthless dictators and power-hungry warlords. The Black Talons provide everything from specialist squads and supplies, to entire armies, bases and powerful mechs of warfare to fight the warmongering Tzanar. This comes at a price, of course – but in a universe controlled by the corrupt, is it enough to stand by and watch while great cities burn to the ground and whole civilizations are destroyed in the name of conquest?
General Features:- Extensive campaign mode where the actions of the player have a direct impact on the local system’s balance of power- Persistent and fully customizable squads- Various unit classes with specialized roles and their own distinctive set of weapons, abilities and skill trees- 5 worlds with differing environments and weather conditions that directly affect battle- Powerful mechs can enter the battlefield and turn the tide of combat- Customize and upgrade your base with weapons and infrastructure that will boost squad numbers, teleport soldiers or even bombard the battlefield- Faction relations influence a player’s progress throughout the game: either by giving access to unique units or interfering with missions
Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons will be available to purchase via digital distribution for Windows PC, Mac and Linux in Q4 2014
And without further ado, here's the debut trailer:
Dont take me wrong, I say this because I care, but Mechs & Mercs? Its really cheap like for some browser game, degrading game title
Its first thing you will hear when somebody tell you about it, so its important to have something more mature and recognizable, maybe Gemini Wars :Black Talons
Yeah, with a name like that, I'd kind of expect something that would use something to the effect of "America: **** Yeah!" as a perfectly suitable soundtrack. And quite frankly, your art department already went the wrong way for that one.
The final title wasn't decided exclusively by us.
It was discussed / negotiated with the Publisher, they had their saying too.
It wasn't our first option, but it was one that we could all agree on.
See, that makes me a 'little' bit worried about their other suggestions.
No need to worry, development is entirely on us :)
And who will publish your game?
Kalypso Media :)
Now I understand
will this game have multi-player support?
No multi-player is planned at this time. We're focusing on the single player experience.
Is it just me, or do missiles/rockets move really, really, REALLY slowly in that trailer?
They are a bit slow yeah :) we already increased the speed.
