Ancient Arena is a 2D beat-em-up style arcade game. You must fight for survival to be the last man standing in the arena and live to fight another day! With singleplayer, 2-player coop, 4-player local multiplayer, 5 playable characters, 5 levels, with a range of game modes, items, and fighting tactics, there are a ton of different ways to play. We are currently in our fifth Alpha stage, and have a ton of planned additions/improvements, including new game modes, online support, and many more characters, levels, weapons, shields, and power ups. Here are all the new features and fixes in Ancient Arena Alpha 2.

New Features
- Brand New Arena: Lost Sands Interior
- Fight inside the deserted Lost Sands Arena, but watch out for the dangerous cliffs!
- Shadows and animations add a new layer of immersion in this new arena

- New Singleplayer Mode: Campaign
- Fight through the first two arenas
- Travel through hidden rooms to stop the bots from spawning in Lost Sands Interior
- Your current objective will be detailed out on your HUD
- Camera zooms and fades as you enter a new level
- Powerups have been replaced by potions only in campaign mode, and the player must smash open crates to find these new items.
- Three separate slots to save your progress, with the ability to delete a saved game

- New Player Abilities
- The ability to sprint and block
- You can attack enemies while they are knocked down, but you will do very little damage
- Sprint attacks and jump attacks give the player two new ways to knock enemies over
- The bounce back ability enables the player to do loads of damage after being knocked down
- A new weapon, the spear, has been added, along with all new player animations while using the spear to attack, sprint, jump, block, take damage, and get knocked down.

- Brand New Music and Sound Effects
- Listen to the all new music in each of the different game modes
- All new sound effects for the characters and the crowd

- Brand New Splash Screen
- Animated Splash Screen for Morale Boost Games

Additional Changes
- Mouse controls on all the main menus

- The ability to mute the sound in the pause menu during a game

- Tweaks To The Gameplay
- Decreased the number of enemies that spawn at one time during waves/survival
- As you progress, this number will slowly increase, increasing the difficulty
- The new weapon, the spear, is spawned after wave 4 or after 120 survival seconds, to help the player advance farther
- Player and enemy speeds have been reduced, the new sprinting ability makes up for this
- The higher your attack combo goes, the more damage you will do to the enemy
- Some health is replenished in between waves
- Critical Hits and Misses are now spelled out with the damage amount above an enemy/player

- HUD/Interface Changes
- HUD will now fade out if an enemy or player is underneath it
- Redesigned the positions of text for a better flow
- Re sized to fit better on the top of the screen

- Ability to select which arena you want to fight in for each game mode outside of campaign.
