Alien Zombie Megadeath is a gloriously intense platform shoot-em-up! You are the lone Spaceman, doing boring space work on a random space platform in deep space when suddenly a huge, relentless, alien force attacks! However these are not your normal everyday aliens...these are alien ZOMBIES! Even through his protective helmet, Spaceman is sickend by their smellineess.
Alien Zombie Megadeath was originally out for the xBox but was ported on over to the PC. I definitely recommend hooking up a xBox controller since the keyboard controls may not feel quite right. All that aside, the game takes place in space where you fight aliens (obviously.) Your spaceman is only equipped to fight aliens with his trusty laser pistol and spacesuit. The levels are based on a side-scrolling platforms that you can jump up an down to run on and your laser pistol can only fire left or right.
Now we got the basics, lets move on to the real stuff. Hordes upon hordes of nicely textured and modeled aliens spawn from portals at the far reaches of the level. Their objective is to kill you and your objective is to kill them, simple. Now sprinkle powerups, meteors and force fields and you have the gist of Alien Zombie Megadeath.
Completing a level, earning a high score or killing a lot of aliens will grant you medals. To advance to the next level, you must have "x" amount of medals. Completing a level is one thing, getting a high score is another. Points are calculated by crystals which are spawned randomly and are dropped by killed aliens. Crystals quickly despawn and so does your point multiplier which makes getting the required score is pretty stinking hard.
Other levels feature different scenarios other than killing everything. There are bomb disposal levels, saving space infants levels, dodge and weave levels, boss levels, jetpack levels and "survive for as long as you" can levels. Some levels will grant you new spacesuits which don't effect gameplay but do make your character look cool. Aliem Zombie Megadeath also features multiplayer on the same computer.
But despite all this variety, Alien Zombie Megadeath doesn't have much depth and most gamers wont be super engaged. I personally rank Alien Zombie Megadeath at 70/100.

Simple but very fun. Reminded me of what made old games so good. Take a simple but fun concept and execute it well.
I like this game so far, even if it's someway complicated to advance level after level. A gamepad is highly recommended.
It is sure funny and restfull, but i found the controls a bit messy (maybe because of the french keyboard, i don't know) AND navigation in menus was too, that ****** me a bit.

Compared to being crapped on, this is actually pretty fun. For a short while at least. I think I got about half way before I gave up from boredom.
