Refusing to conform to the DB's title character restrictions, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome is the semi-sequel to the base-jumping 2010 IGF Finalist that had everyone screaming its name in fits of adrenaline and rage. Players' vocals will get a more strenuous workout, as the challenge has been increased with 43 new levels joining 82 remastered ones. Players traverse (read: spiraling manically towards the ground) landscapes in a wingsuit that maximizes comfort, prevents most leakage, and most importantly doubles the speed. This means briefer but equally sincere skyscraper hugs and kisses, bodily gestures to spectators, and aerosol aspirations for players to chain to topple leaderboards! To alleviate the brutality of harder levels, Awesome has added checkpoints for your respawning pleasure… All that is left is to fight the system and make the JUMP!

So, iOS is a thing. And we asked people to name the game shown. (Please don't mind the spooky, Ju-On vibe Ichiro's got going on.) From Twitter, we received the following suggestions:

  • @schulzdotme and @GreyAlien liked "IiiiiIIiiiIIIiiIIIIiIIIII"
  • @nmeunier seemed to have something else on the mind with "airborne sausage fest gauntlet II"
  • @chrisremo "iAaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA"
  • @Deekman "AaaaaAAaaahhhhOS"
  • @NaviFairyGG aims for iOS potty humor: "Falling on the pooper" and "It's my potty and I'll scream if I want to"
  • @GearBoxClock "AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! A Portable (or Handheld) Disregard for Gravity"
  • @ZackAndScreech "AAAAAAAaaaAAaAAaAAaa-diOS"
  • @LadySuccubus "AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! I dropped my expensive glass iPhone."
  • And so forth!
  • Beyond Twitter, Awesome is still making headlines. True PC Gaming gave Awesome a thumbs-up, saying that there are "very few games that realistically portray falling," but Awesome manages to give the reviewer that "falling feeling in my stomach." Maybe our first swag can be stylish doggy bags?
Ichiro was all-telling in a recent interview with DIYGamer. He supplied the above header image, saying that his iPhone 4S was running what looked like a gorgeous 60FPS verion of Aaaaa!. He says that the tilt controls are responding wonderfully because of Owlchemy Labs' Alex Schwartz's Unity expertise.Ichiro also mentioned his plans to show Awesome and a new Ugly Baby at PAX East 2012. Have you purchased your tickets? Finally, for those without a fancy iOS device, it appears someone has simplified Aaaaa! for older generations, so dubbed AAAAA Reckless Indie Demake:
