99 Levels to Hell is a platform shooter with lots of guns, upgrades, magic, traps and monsters to kill. 99 Levels to Hell is a rogue-like-like, which means surviving is key and every time you play you get a random selection of levels to play. When you complete 10 levels, the 10th being a boss-fight you unlock a door to the next dungeon. Hidden in the darkness of the dungeons are shops, casinos and elevators. And if you search the dungeons carefully, you might find secret rooms that unlock more of the story, and free new adventurers, you can play as in your next game. Hi there,

Just bought the game and it fails to launch in Desura, no matter how many times I reinstall it.

Anyone having the same problem? Keeps saying there's something wrong with the exe file...

Checked the games folder. The .exe is not even there. I assume that there went something wrong while pushing it up to the file servers. Please fix that.

Yeah, just checked and it's the same... sigh...
Bought it on launch day. Can't play it. :(

Same here. I've had the beta for months and there were no problems. Now that it's "gold" and downloaded the update, I get a black screen with pink blocks directly in the center and... nothing. Have to close out through task manager. Love this game, hope for the fix ASAP. PS: yes, uninstalled and reinstalled several times... in my case, the .exe is there but still nothing.

I have the same problem,the game starts up and I get past the launcher which asks for the graphics quality,
then a black screen with pink blocks.
have to use task manager to shut down.re-installed verified etc..

Yup, not it doesn't crash on Desura... it boots up that same black screen with the pink blocks and then nothing happens.

Really regret buying it on launch day... :(

If you download the game itself instead of using the Desura installer then it'll run just fine.
However you will get a black screen for a minute or two.
Game didn't used to do this in the earlier beta versions from what I've tried so its a bit new.
They said a fix should be up very soon so in the mean time just download the game from the game page on Desura and run it manually.
Doesn't use an installer so should just run.

Once the Desura version is fixed the save should carry over so shouldn't cause any issues I think.

Hi guys

I'm sorry, it's really embarrassing, but I mess up the build when i submitted it :(

I've uploaded and testet a fix, it's awaiting approval.

Again I'm sorry you have to wait.
The stand alone should work just fine.
