3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Hello, as many ones i installed 3079 (last one) and instantly got terrible noice sound instead of music in game. It seem that problem is with OpenAl32.dll because when i deleted it, REPLACED with one i found in Towns game and then PROTECTED OpenAL32.dll from rewriting by game (it looks that game constantly tries to restore its original file) all problems was solved.
I mean. lous noice appears ONLY with original OpenAL32.dll, not with one i took from Towns. I not even needed to disable hardware acceleration then.
Its need to be said that i use Java 7 and Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card.
Phr00t, you seems to be friends with Towns folks, why not ask them how they manage avoid sound bugs?

They are likely using an older version of LWJGL, one that may introduce 3D bugs in 3079 that Towns doesn't have problems with. The sound problems only happen on a small subset of players, and disabling hardware acceleration for sound doesn't really do much more than fix bugs (e.g. there isn't any real advantage to have "hardware accelerated" sound effects, especially if it causes problems).
