3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! I think it would be nice to have a customizable UI to allow people to modify the UI to fit the sci fi soldier feel of the game.

Example: Player X wants to modify the UI so that the entire screen area has a border of a transparent UI that looks like a Cyberpunk Neural Device Visual Output Program.

He decides to modify the UI so that, in blocky style, there is a transparent border around the screen's top and bottom parts (hooks on the sides pointing to the other half vertically), with Health, Energy, and so on in percentage on the bottom of the screen in three bars, with the percentage overlaid on the bars. All transparent. The top has a compass/radar system, and the targeting display becomes a split-circle with a crosshair in the middle with health and energy percents of the enemy on the right, and you on the left.

He sees how cool this is once it's working, and summarily decides to submit the file, and provide a link on the forums- Since the file does not touch anything that is not considered moddable in good consience or out-of-permission (it all uses a coded in framework) The futuristic yet blocky new UI is allowed to stay on the forums and is downloaded by yet more people.

Essentially this would allow customization of the UI by modders and end users. I think it would make a great addition to texture pack support, and if it tied into the desura interface (for downloads/installs) and/or a modding tool was included to switch texture packs in the launcher, that it would be even better.

It is hard enough to get one UI to work.. making a customizable UI interface is just a bit too big of a project to take on for 3079 at this point. I don't mind if people mod the game to change the UI, but I don't think it is worth my time to make it customizable out-of-the-box. I'd rather spend the time perfecting the current UI.

With that said, you CAN replace the graphics (including the GUI elements) within the JAR/EXE file. Some people have done this already:
