3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! I was just wondering, now that we have 3d weapons, what about making them have more depth, and look less like -Insert that one popular blocky game's name here-'s? Just suggesting, because although I like them how they are, I think that something like the ones in Ace of Spades would be nice, that way they're still blocky and made of voxels, but just more realistic? if you want an example: |

Weapons are unlikely to change at this point. They have been discussed and re-done multiple times already. Are they perfect? No. Do they look pretty good? I certainly think so. Making more detailed models, like the one you show here, is quite a bit of modelling & texturing work, as described here: Indiedb.com |

Actually, there is a program called Slab6 that lets you do this stuff very easily, and I think you can import them to 3079. I don't mean to argue, but it might help if you want to do some stuff with it later. Link: |

I would need OBJ files, or something that can be imported into Blender before I can import them into 3079. I understand it may not be overly "difficult" to use these tools to make new 3D voxel weapons. However, it will take a considerable about of time. There are many held items to re-create this way. In addition, once you re-create the handheld models, you will need to make the item inventory graphics to match. Basically, there already exists a good lineup of weapon graphics, and spending all that time to redesign them again isn't a productive use of 3079 development time. If someone else wants to make all these models and graphics, I may consider putting them in... but this would be better served by a community mod. |
