Hello! Jamin here! I'm a Global Brand Manager at an AAA publisher by day, but indie-developer of niche genre-hybrids by night. I like games very much. They're super groovy.

I've just started a new Journal series which looks to leverage some of my learnings from the world of traditional publishing, and apply it to indie-dev. The series will largely focus on brand, marketing, PR and business, but also running a studio without much in the bank. The first post - Mottos, Mantras and Mission Statements; Four Steps to Branding Your Studio - has just gone live, and can be read in its entirety here on IndieDB.

ANYWAY! I'm building my list of future topics to explore, and wanted to open it up to the floor.

If there are certain topics from the world of traditional publishing you would like to see applied to an indie game or studio, please let me know. I'll directly answer your question in a future post. I don't claim to be any kind of development expert (Superstring's first game, Headspun, isn't out until the Summer) - but I've been around the block a bit and am looking to pour my experience and learnings thus far into this new series.

Alternatively, drop me a line on Discord, Twitter or any other channel that floats your boat, and we can have a bit of a chinwag.

You can also sign up to future journal entries here.

Thanks!

Jamin
